Ridley Scott's 'Exodus' to be Followed by 'David' Movie; Film to Document Battle with Goliath and Philistine Army (VIDEO)

Famed Director Ridley Scott is working on a movie about the Bible's David directly after he finishes 'Exodus: Gods and Kings'.

According to Christian Headlines, the working title so far is simply "David" and it will be based on his fight with the giant Goliath.

The 76-year-old producer has reportedly chosen Jonathan Stokes to write the script for the film.

The director's production company Scott Free will work with Chernin Entertainment when the film is ready to be produced.

No cast or release date has been revealed for Scott's future 'David' film. However, Scott's other Biblical film 'Exodus: Gods and Kings' starring Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Aaron Paul, Sir Ben Kingsley and Sigourney Weaver will arrive in theaters on December 14.

Another film about King David called, "David and Goliath," will be released by director Tim Chey. This film will star actor Miles Sloman.

Chey previously revealed why he wanted to make a film based on the biblical hero.

"I heard a clear voice from the Lord to make this film. I want the audience to really feel the fear of what it meant to take on a 9-foot giant warrior with a sling-shot and what David's incredible faith meant to the world," said Chey in a statement a few months ago to Charisma News, "I'm excited that we can make a Biblically-accurate film about one of the most incredible stories in the Bible. People are already asking me how they can get tickets."

The 'David and Goliath' film is set arrive in movie theaters in March 2015.

In what has been heralded as the "Year of the Bible," "Heaven is For Real," "God's Not Dead," "Son of God," and "Noah" have already amassed tons of ticket sales and praise.
