As Season 4 of 'Revenge' draws near, fans should remember to look out for evolution and change within Emily's character when the show returns September 24 on ABC.

Emily Thorne has been seeking revenge for the loss of her father for quite sometime now. She's even gone as far as putting some innocent people (Conrad and Victoria) in some certainly sticky situations (Prison and psych ward). However, it has not become visible to her yet that her father (David) is still out there, alive and well.

What fans are left wondering, is how Emily is going to react after she finds out the truth.

Fan speculation comes to the conclusion that Emily will be rather angry with the new revelation about her life, but Executive Producer Gretchen Berg hinted her actual response.

During the 2014 ATX Television Festival, Berg said that Emily will be "living the truth" from now on.

Aaron Harberts, another producer, said she would have "to deal with a blow back from what she's done. How does that push her relationship forward? She's going to have to own a lot of the thing she's done."

One character that would be shocked for David's return is Victoria.

"If Victoria Grayson manages to get to him first, she could convince David to turn on Emily. If Victoria gets to David before Emily does, then she has the upper hand. She has the control and could he be manipulated by her?" Harberts hinted Victoria's gameplan to E! Online.

However, one thing is for sure, Emily will avenge Aiden in the next season, "One of the things we're going to keep alive [in Season 4] is the memory of Aiden, because he was such a huge part of the show," Berg said, "He supported Emily a way that a lot other people weren't able to do because of the experience they shared together."

'Revenge' Season 4 will air on September 24 on ABC Network.
