'Resident Evil 7' Release Date Rumors: Capcom Going To Reveal A Scarier Seventh Game At E3 2016

New details on the release date Capcom's "Resident Evil 7" have been revealed.

Capcom is set to unveil "Resident Evil 7" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016 event, according to Christian Times. The said event is set to commence on June 14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and it is assumed that it will cradle various title releases coming from various tech and gaming companies.

As per Game N Guide, Capcom is bound to unveil new game titles in 2016 and "Resident Evil 7" is one of the games set to be introduced. As per the publication, the title is set to be the core of the company presentation at the forthcoming event.

On May 17, Kantan Game CEO Dr. Serkan Toto revealed that Capcom is indeed working on "Resident Evil 7." He tweeted that the game title was in development and the whole game would go back to "Resident Evil's" horror roots and essentially be a clean slate. Thus, it is assumed that the seventh installment of the "Resident Evil" game franchise is set to be scarier than its predecessors.

The "horror roots" mentioned by Toto is at par with game producer Masachika Kawata's statement. In his interview with Eurogamer, Kawata said that moving forward, he could see them focusing even more on the horror aspect and fear in the series and saw them making something scarier than they already had.

For Kawata, he thought it would certainly be quite a while if anyone was waiting for an open-world "Resident Evil," recommending gamers to give "Revelations" a try.

For the time being, it is assumed that "Resident Evil 7" is set to be unveiled at the E3 2016.
