Rend Collective Set To Release New Album Project 'Campfire II: Simplicity' In November

Rend Collective

Fans of Rend Collective have something to look forward to as the Christian group will release new album project "Campfire II: Simplicity" this November.

Apart from entirely new tracks, the Irish band will also give its own rendition of "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" by Hillsong UNITED, as well as cuts from their albums "The Art of Celebration" and "As Family We Go."

A statement from the band said that the goal of the "Campfire II: Simplicity" is very close to their hearts. The group is composed of Gareth Gilkeson, Chris Llewellyn, Ali Gilkeson, Patrick Thompson and Stephen Mitchell.

"We long to see outsiders invited in, hope restored to the hopeless, rest for the cynics and revival for God's people," the statement said. "We can't wait to share these songs with you. We're praying they encourage, equip and speak life to all who hear them."

Talking about "As Family We Go," Patrick Thompson said that people oftentimes think that they produce songs for the art, which isn't always the case.

"The end goal is the mission and so the idea behind 'As Family We Go' is that we're writing songs to accompany that mission," he said. "To be the soundtrack to the mission which is to go. Like the great commission has instructed us to do."

Rend Collective just finished the OUTCRY: Summer 2016 Tour with Hillsong Young & Free, Hillsong Worship and Kari Jobe. For further info about the band, more tour dates and the November release of "Campire II: Simplicity," visit the band's official website and Facebook page.
