'Real Housewives of New York' Season 7 Cast News: Bethenny Frankel Returns to RHONY

The seventh season of Bravo's 'Real Housewives of New York' has officially started filming. This time around, the cast will include Heather Thomson, Carole Radziwill, Kristen Taekman, Ramona Singer, and Sonja Morgan. They will be joined by returnees Bethenny Frankel and LuAnn de Lesseps.

However, it's worth mentioning that one previous cast member has been given the boot. Apparently, Aviva Drescher will not be returning for Season 7 of the popular reality show.

What's known so far, is that Bravo has filmed episodes in the Hamptons for LuAnn's estate sale, around NYC, and in Arizona. To promote the season, Bravo has posted a ton of photos on Instagram and Twitter, which is unusual for them, as they have typically tried to keep the show under wraps until they actually broadcasting it.

On that note, Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen was delighted to have Bethenny back on the show, saying "Bethenny is one of the most popular Housewives in the history of the franchise, and I couldn't be more excited she is coming home to Bravo."

For those unfamiliar with 'Real Housewives of New York', it is the second installment in 'The Real Housewives' franchise, with the first installment being 'Real Housewives of Orange County'. It debuted in 2008, and focuses on the personal lives of several women living in New York City.

Despite the title, the women are not all strictly housewives. Bethenny and Ramona have their own businesses, while Carole is an author. LuAnne, sometimes called the "Countess," has had a checkered career: she's been a nurse, a model, a writer, and a singer.

As it stands, RHONY Season 7 has not been slated with a specific release date as of yet.
