'Real Housewives of New York City' Season 7 News: Hunt for New Housewives is On, Sonja Morgan Takes Casting Director Position

'Real Housewives of New York City' Season 7 is looking to be totally revamped as Sonja Morgan has become the new casting director for the show and has been appointed to scout new housewives for the popular reality series.

The new cast will be reportedly built around Sonja, who according to sources, is the network's favorite right now. The major makeover might mean that all the housewives of the last season will be getting the boot. While many thought that Ramona might be kept due to her marriage problems, it seems as though even she runs the risk of getting sacked.

According to a source, the network feels like the 'Real Housewives of New York' has lost its feel. It seems like they are going to try and bring back some nostalgia with Season 7. While the cast has not yet been defined, the show is set to begin filming for next installment in September.

If fans can recall, this is not the first time she show's had an overhaul of this magnitude. For Season 4 of the show, all the housewives were dropped so new ones could give the show a fresh start.

Early Season 7 rumors stated that the 'Real Housewives of New York City' series might be cancelled due to its low ratings, but this only confirmed the need for a revamp. The last season received the lowest ratings yet with the season finale week's viewer base sitting at 1.1 million.
