Along with talks about the return of William Fichtner in "Prison Break" season 5, it is also revealed that Sarah Wayne Callies is set to return in the series. Also, one of the major characters is set to die in the season.

Callies played the role of Dr. Sara Tancredi in the 2005 "Prison Break" and she is set to reprise her role as Michael's love interest in "Prison Break"season 5, according to Digital Spy. In the trailer, her son is set to ask her about his father's nature, which ignites rumors of a foreshadowed return of Michael in the story line.

Aside from "Prison Break" season 5, Callies is also known for her roles in "The Walking Dead," "Into the Storm," and "The Other Side of the Door."

According to Crossmap, Tancredi was originally set to die in "Prison Break" season 1; however, she is a fan-favorite character that the series studio had decided to keep her alive. Hence, it is possible that her life was prolonged until the rise of season 5, where fans can see the character face her demise.

Previously, it was revealed that Fitchner, who played fan-favorite character Alexander Mahone in "Prison Break" season 1, could be back in season 5. According to Parent Herald, Fox has remained quiet on whether Mahone is set to return to the reboot as a surprise and help save Michael.

Along with his possible appearance in "Prison Break" season 5, Fitchner is also known for his roles in "Armageddon," "Black Hawk Down," "The Dark Knight," and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."
