'Pokémon Generations' Overview: Two Episodes Explore Pokémon World, Search For Giovanni?

Celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year, The Pokémon Company has unveiled the first two videos in its "Pokémon Generations" animated series.

"Pokémon Generations" is a series of animated short, which relates to its "Pokémon" video games and anime. The first episode is entitled "The Adventure" and it covers the six regions from the "Pokémon Games," as per Venture Beat.

The regions are Kanto from "Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow," Johto from "Gold, Silver, Crystal, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver," Hoenn from "Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, Alphas Sapphire, and Omega Ruby," Sinnoh from "Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum," Unova from "Black, White, Black 2, and White 2," and Kalos from "X and Y."

On the other hand, "Pokémon Generations" episode 2 is a story detached from the first episode, Polygon reports. It follows Detective Looker from the conclusion of "Pokémon X and Y" as he takes on a quest to find Team Rocket head Giovanni. In "Pokémon Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow," Giovanni serves as the leader of Team Rocket and gym leader of Viridian City.

"Pokémon Generations" is set to feature new episodes per week through Dec. 23. According to IGN, each episode runs from three to five minutes and showcases the adventures from the first six generations of "Pokémon" games.

Meanwhile, Nintendo's upcoming projects are "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon." Featuring the seventh generation Pokémon in the Alola region, the game is set to be released for the Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18.
