'Pitch Perfect' was a smashing success back in 2012 with gross earnings of $65 million in United States alone. The stakes are high especially with a modest budget, but director Elizabeth Banks is confident that the sequel will do just as well, especially since their production team is focused on bigger performances and heightened drama this time around.

'Pitch Perfect 2', just like its predecessor, is packed with a capella performances, but this time, the story follows mature roles for lead characters Beca (Anna Kendrick) and Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson). The two are transitioning from high school to Barden University, where they are members of the school choir.

In an interview with People magazine recently, Kendrick talked about the unsolicited compliments she received on the set of the film for her sun burnt skin.

"It's been a while, because I usually avoid the sun like the plague. But I went on vacation to Mexico with my friend Aubrey Plaza, and I was under a hat and umbrella all day so I didn't put sunscreen on. I went in the ocean for 10 minutes and got a super painful sunburn on my face," she detailed in People magazine.

Also, the 29-year-old actress will be showing off a surprise stunt that totally terrified her, "Without spoiling anything, there is a point [in Pitch Perfect 2] when I am at a great height and have to jump... Even thinking about it right now makes my stomach turn," she continued.

The film also stars Chrissie Fit, Brittany Snow, and Kelley Jackle. 'Pitch Perfect 2' is set to serenade fans beginning May 15, 2015 in cinemas worldwide.
