Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is facing serious problems right now. Her husband, Apollo Nida, has been reportedly sentenced to eight years of imprisonment on July 8 for allegedly being involved in money laundering.

According to Access Atlanta report, Nida was involved in bank fraud, money laundering of estimated $2 million, mail and wire fraud, and an identity theft case. The website also stated that Nida's attorney "made it clear" that Parks was not involved in any of her husband's illegal activities.

It was also reported that the Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star was not present in court when Nida was sentenced. The website speculates that either she was looking after their young sons or she is "trying to distance herself from her husband's criminal activities."

Earlier, Parks and Nida were rumored to be headed towards divorce. However, the news is yet to be confirmed by either party. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Parks won't be proceeding with the divorce right now to avoid angering Nida.

Parks's best friend and RHOA co-star Kandi Brauss is saying that her friend is "doing just fine." and that, "She is working and promoting her book and doing the book tour."

Right now, the future of their two sons"”Ayden and Dylan"”remains a concern for Parks. According to a report from Hollywood Life, "the only thing she's worried about is Ayden and Dylan growing up without a dad."

Parks is making the most of Nida's final days of freedom by making sure that he's spending quality time with their sons, and arranging for them to have some family portraits taken before Nida begins his eight-year prison sentence.
