‘Pawn Stars’ Chumlee Death Hoax: Rumors Fool Fans, Turn Out to Be Fake

Apparently, Austin "Chumlee" Russell from 'Pawn Stars has not died.

There was an article published on Internet Chronicle that stated Chumlee has died of a "marijuana overdose."

"In what may come to be a medical landmark, 'Chumlee' Russell of Pawn Stars fame died from a marijuana overdose Monday night and was found by friend 'Big Hoss' Harrison on Tuesday morning."

The website even referred to Dr. Angstrom H. Troubador as the alleged doctor who pronounced his death.

"The only possible way he could have died from a marijuana overdose without first clogging his lungs with soot is through the use of vaporizers. Reportedly, Chumlee had rigged up to 90 vaporizers into one tube and had a team of groupies constantly loading them up with the stickiest and most potent of marijuana available on the market," said Dr. Troubador according to the site.

It was also reported that the show's manager, Rick Harrison, teared up for the loss of his "buddy."

"To die like that, it's just a shame... Rest in peace, buddy," said Harrison according to the site.

However, this rumor was immediately debunked by Chumlee himself as he assured his fans that he's still alive and breathing.

He posted a tweet saying, "May we live long, Rich forever."

His manager also replied to the tweet, ".@chumlee_ is ALIVE & WELL! He is 101 lbs down & in the best health of his life! Thanks for your concern! He is filming today at GS Pawn."

Harrison posted another tweet, "Breaking news: CHUMLEEIS ALIVE & WELL! He is actually filming today but we all really appreciate everyone's concern."

Chumlee has been with 'Pawn Stars' since 2009.
