'Overwatch' Lucioball News: Blizzard Entertainment Confirms Punishment To Bug User?

Blizzard Entertainment has a bad news to players who abuse "Overwatch's" Lucioball.

The studio announced that "Overwatch" players who use other players aside from Lucio in Lucioball would be punished. In a statement on Blizzard Entertainment's forum, title director Jeff Kaplan said that in the meantime, they were in discussions with the Customer Support group to implement actions against gamers who deliberately use the bug to play heroes other than Lucio.

"Please do not exploit this bug. Fair warning," he said.

As per Game Spot, the bug allows players to play as other characters who still have their guns. Since Lucio cannot attack and he only has abilities that let him push a large ball around the map, exploiting the bug could destroy the match in the game.

In the same statement, Kaplan extended his apologies for the bug, adding that they had tried to fix it multiple times and had had irrelevant issues that prevented the fix. He hoped the fix to be available within the week.

"Overwatch" is Blizzard Entertainment's first person shooter game, which sets players into two teams with six members. Each player assumes the role of one of the several pre-defined hero characters with distinct set of attributes and moves. The heroes are subdivided into four classes - Support, Tank, Defense, and Offense.

Blizzard Entertainment's "Overwatch" was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 24.
