Oscars 2016 Predictions, Nominees and Date: Will DiCaprio Catch The Best Actor Title?

The Oscars is one of the biggest award giving body and is very important to Hollywood stars and filmmakers alike. And as the event unfolds, predictions from left and right started to surface like a huge wave on the Internet. Who will take home the trophies? Here're some of the forecasts for the upcoming ceremony.

Web site FiveThirtyEight predicted the outcome by relying on credible ceremonies as well like the Golden Globe and the Directors Guild, among some other sources too like Google News, Social Media insights and reviews from sites like Rotten Tomatoes, to name one.

For the best actor, the unanimous decision went to "The Revenant" lead star Leonardo DiCaprio. We all might know that DiCaprio became more like the apple of everyone's eye for almost grabbing the title. And now, they are hoping that he will finally catch it. 

Meanwhile, the trophy for best actress might be given to Brie Larson for her performance in the movie "Room." On the other hand, "The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence comes next. 

In the meantime, awards for the movies are also forecasted as well. Aside from DiCaprio, "The Revenant" also persuaded people's choice for the best picture awards. It is also predicted that "Mad Max: Fury Road" or "Spotlight" could steal the award from the aforementioned film.

Moreover, the best director award has been fought between "Mad Max: Fury Road" and "The Revenant" directors George Miller and Alejandro G. Iñárritu, respectively.

The Oscars will be aired live on February 28, 2016 7E | 4P on ABC.
