'Orange is the New Black' Season 2 Netflix Release Date 2014, Taylor Schilling Cast Interview, Watch Here (VIDEO)

"Orange is the New Black" on Netflix is gearing up for Season 2 after the show became the latest hit series for Netflix after a surprisingly huge reaction to its first season this summer.  Netflix is on a good run after coming out with the hugely successful "House of Cards" Season 1 is gaining high marks for their new original series they keep releasing. "House of Cards" Season 2 is in production right now and will be released in 2014.

The star of the "Orange is the New Black", Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper Chapman on the show, recently sat down with Canadian talk show host George Stroumboulopoulos on his evening show George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight on CBC TV (watch full interview below).

Schilling shares about her role in the popular show and opens up about her other acting experiences that have brought her to this point, including her movie with Zac Efron and her part in Argo with Ben Affleck. She is incredibly likable in person and makes for a great interview.

"Orange is the New Black" Season 1 raised eyebrows for its controversial yet honest portrayal of prison life for women that is not been discussed much in popular culture especially through a series.

Star Taylor Schilling shared this about joining the cast, "I read the pilots every year and a lot of it is another Law & Order, another CSI, another doctor show - they're all the same. This pilot came across my desk and it was unbelievable. It was so different from anything I'd read in so long. I needed to be part of this show," she said.

Season 2 of "Orange Is The New Black" is in the production stages right now and will be released sometime in 2014.

The show is based around Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper Chapman that gets sent to prison 10 years after she got caught up in transporting drug money across international lines. She now has a fiance' Larry (Jason Biggs) and they are working through her being in prison together.

All 13 episodes of Season 1 of the netflix original series "Orange is the New Black" released exclusively on Netflix July 11.

"Orange is the New Black" is made by 'Weeds' creator Jenji Kohan, and is based on Piper Kerman's memoir of a year spent in prison.
