'Once Upon A Time' Season 5 Spoilers, Cast News: A Greek Mythology Character Joins The Series; Emma Set To Give Hook Half Of Her Heart?

With the rise of a new environment in "Once Upon a Time" season 5, fans are set to see new characters in the series, such as one come from the Greek mythology.

In their interview with Entertainment Weekly, "Once Upon a Time" executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis voiced their thoughts on what fans could expect on the upcoming season of ABC's fantasy series. Horowitz told the publication that fans were going to meet the "Once Upon a Time" version of Hades in the second half of the season.

Horowitz added that while Hades was both inspired by a myth and by the Disney movie version, as they liked to do, they were trying to create their own "Once Upon a Time" spin. For the executive producer, they could not wait for everyone to see what "Ally McBeal" star Greg Germann did with the character.

As Horowitz revealed, Germann is set to debut in the midseason premiere of "Once Upon a Time," which stands as ABC's fairy tale drama landmark 100th episode. The episode will also see Emma and her friends and family make a move to save Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) from the Underworld.

In the same interview, Kitsis said that the new character absolutely had a surprising connection to one of the existing characters; however, the executive producer warned that before everyone ran to Twitter and give their opinion on it, he was not related to anyone, but there was a connection.

Aside from Hades, "Once Upon a Time" season 5 will also introduce Cora, who is set to lead a crew in the Underworld, according to Christian Post. The publication also revealed that in the course of the fifth season, Emma's plan of giving Hook half of her heart would fail and this would definitely leave fans dismayed.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5 is set to return on Mar. 6, 2016 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, which soon becomes Freeform.
