‘Once Upon a Time’ Season 4 Premiere Date, Cast Rumors: Elsa to Be Joined By Olaf, Anna From Frozen

Once Upon a Time Season 4 will be back on prime time in a few months time, and there is growing hype about the characters from Disney's Frozen coming to ABC's hit fairy tale drama.

Executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz have confirmed that Elsa will be cast in Season 4 and they have even hinted that more of Disney's characters will join her.

After their confirmation of Elsa's appearance in OUAT, Kitsis and Horowitz implied that there is more to come: "We would be very disappointed if Elsa was the only one from that world that you saw.  Who else may appear, we're not ready to tell you just yet," Horowitz added.

The showrunners did not mention if Elsa would play a villain, but emphasized that her "misunderstood" character is actually what will stand out next season.

Horowitz added, "We truly want to honor the character that everybody has fallen in love with so quickly. When you see how our interpretation of her and what we do with her, you will see that's exactly what we're trying to do."

The OUAT team pointed out that although Frozen's character is indeed franchised on the show, the cast selections are yet to be confirmed yet.

Meanwhile, rumors of Elizabeth Mitchell portraying the role of Elsa are spreading online.  According to Horowitz and Kitsis, the 44-year old Lost actress might be a good fit for a role next season, and Josh Holloway has been named as a likely cast member.
