Vampire Diaries' lead actor Ian Somerhalder is rumoured jealous of Nina Dobrev's recent romantic affiliation with Muse drummer Dominic Howard. Reports said that she ended their three-year relationship on a not-so-happy note, though reasons for the breakup were not confirmed. Apparently, 35-year-old Somerhalder wants his ex-girlfriend back for good.

"Ian is Jealous of Nina's new boyfriend, but there's unfortunately not much he can do about. It's her life and her choice, and she's made it very clear to Ian that she's not interested in settling down," an insider said to MoviePilot.com

Nina was also spotted with X-Men cast member James Marsden at the Coachelle Music Fest last April before they went on a vacation at the Monaco Grand Prix.

After her breakup with Somerhalder, Dobrev told People Magazine, "People aren't defined by their relationships. The whole point is being true to yourself and not losing yourself in relationships, whether romances or friendships... I need to know all those things before I fall for someone. I'm not a one-night-stand king of girl. I'm a relationship girl."

Just recently, Ian and Nina bagged the People's Choice Awards 2014 for On-Screen Chemistry. In her speech, Nina shared that her character Elena once hated Damon before they fell in love. She also joked that it was fortunate for both of them not to work awkwardly despite their failed romance in real life. Ian ended their speech with a kiss on Nina's cheek.
