New TV Series ‘Pariah’ Cast News: Bill Burr Tapped by ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Team for Pilot Episode

FX Network has just announced the addition of comedian Bill Burr to the cast of the upcoming new TV series 'Pariah'. The new comedy series stems from the same cast and crew of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'.

In the upcoming series, Bill Burr assumes the role of a television personality who is strangled out of the showbiz world and tries to make it on his own.

'Pariah' is set to be scripted by John Chernin and Dave Chernin, 'It's Always Sunny' writers, and is produced by the RCG Prods. Rob McIlhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton, stars of the aforementioned bar based shenanigans sitcom will also play a major role in the series' production.

McIlhenney is actually set to direct the pilot episode of 'Pariah', which again is going to be written by John and Dave Chernin. On that note, they have been writers for 'It's Always Sunny' for six seasons, and have served as supervising producers on the upcoming tenth season of the show.

In an interview with the Chernins, they had good things to say about the cast, "We believe that Bill, Rob, Glenn, and Charlie are four of the funniest people in comedy today. To work alongside them is a dream come true," according to Variety.

Stepping back onto the subject of Bill Burr, fans of his can remember him in his reoccurring role on the hit AMC series, 'Breaking Bad'. In that series he played the supporting role of Kuby, a crony to Saul Goodman played by Bob Odenkirk.

As it stands, there's no projected release date for the upcoming FX series, 'Pariah'.
