Stars head coach Lindy Ruff revealed his thoughts regarding his team facing the Devils on Friday night.

"Both teams are playing very well. The Islanders have been really the surprise and Jersey, history shows, is one of the toughest places to go in and scrape out some goals and get some offense. They're a very diligent club, they've been good offensively this year and their goaltender has been really good."

Dallas previously crushed the Vancouver Canucks at home by a final score of 6-3 at at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on October 21.

Stars defenseman Trevor Daley hopes the team's offensive explosion will continue on the road in New Jersey against the Devils.

"It was a great feeling. Two points - that's all that matters. The positive thing we take from [Tuesday] is that we got two points...That was a tough game to be a part of. When you get up by that many goals early, you expect the other team to push back. You tend when you are up by that much to sit back."

Now the Devils are looking to snap their current three game losing streak when they defend their home ice against the team from Texas.

The New Jersey Devils previously lost to the New York Rangers by the final score of 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday.

Devils goalie Cory Schneider suffered the defeat after Rangers defenseman Kevin Klein scored his first goal as a 'Blueshirt' in overtime.
