New iPhone 5S Summer 2013 Release? Rumors of 4.8-inch Screen, Fingerprint Sensors and iPhone “Math?”

This year's iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 rumors include a bigger screen size (4.8-inch to be exact), wireless charging, 12-megapixel camera and the annual tease of fingerprint security sensors.

Bigger Screen Size
Apple is still king, but some of its protégés, like the Samsung Galaxy S3, are looking to steal the throne. Though Apple CEO Tim Cook maintains the current 4-inch display as optima, the buzz is leaning towards a 4.8-inch Retina Display for the iPhone 5S or 6; the same size as the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Some have even reported the larger screen size would be saved for a completely new model, the "iPhone Math." The term "Math" is likely a translation error. (China Times)

Apple is also rumored to be developing an iPad Mini with a phone that would compete in the tablet/phone market with the Samsung Galaxy Note.

Wireless Charging
Apple fan boys have been geeking out over wireless charging for the last couple iPhone installments. This year does seem hopeful. Last month, Apple patented Wireless Power Utilization, a wireless charging system with NFMR, near-field magnetic resonance. Get excited!

12-Megapixel Camera, Enhanced Flash and A7 Processor
The next iPhone is believed to come with a 12-megapixel camera, a 4-megapixel upgrade from last year and enhance rear flash capabilities. The iPhone 5S is also likely to bump up to an A7 chip processor to assist with increasingly complex tasks.

Fingerprint Security Sensors
Another "wow" rumor is the fingerprint security sensor. Apple recently purchased mobile network security company AuthenTec for $356 million and AuthenTec manufactures fingerprint sensors. Rumored for last year's iPhone 5, we may actually get it for the 5S or 6.

iPhone 5S, 6 Release Date
Many believe the iPhone 5S could be scheduled for a mid 2013 release, while most maintain an early 2014 launch for the iPhone 6.

I don't know what it is about this country, but I swear every year it's the same. We as a society have a habit of picking next year's Super Bowl winner during this year's game. The new iPhone 5S and 6 are no exception. Rumors of 5S features were whispered before the 4S was even out. It's ridiculous, but that's the way we like it.
