New Hulk Movie 2015 Release Date: Mark Ruffalo Confirms Hulk Will Have Avengers Spinoff Film

Actor Mark Ruffalo hinted that his character, The Incredible Hulk, will star in his own respective spinoff film after the upcoming Avengers 2: Age of Ultron movie.

"I think they are, for the first time, entertaining the idea of it," said Ruffalo to Digital Spy on June 17, "When we did The Avengers it was basically 'No!', and now there is some consideration for it."

The 46-year-old actor made his debut as the Incredible Hulk in Marvel's first The Avengers movie back in 2012.

"But there's still nothing definitive, not even a skeletal version of what it would be. I look forward to going down that road, if we could crack that nut," said Ruffalo.

If that does happen, it would mark the third reboot in The Incredible Hulk's film history. The first film was simply called Hulk, which starred Eric Bana as mild-mannered scientist Bruce Banner (and his unstable alter ego The Incredible Hulk) back in 2003.

Then the movie franchise was remade as The Incredible Hulk, where actor Edward Norton replaced Bana in the lead role as Dr. Banner in the 2008 film.

Now it appears that Marvel Studios will eventually release a brand new Hulk film starring Ruffalo, but so far, the company has not officially confirmed the actor's revelation regarding the popular and misunderstood comic book protagonist.

The Incredible Hulk debuted with Marvel Comics in 1962 after the character was created by iconic comic book writers Stan Lee and the late Jack Kirby.

Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Evans (Captain America), James Spader (Ultron), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlett Witch), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) are among the numerous actors set to appear in the movie when the blockbuster series returns on May 1, 2015.
