Netflix's "Orange is the New Black" Season 2 Premiere: Fresh Episodes to Focus More on Social and Political Dynamics in Prison

Though Season 2 of Netflix's critically acclaimed new original series Orange is the New Black doesn't premiere until 2014, fans continue to demand more insight into the new batch of episodes.

Season 1 cast members, Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper, and Danielle Brooks, who plays "Taystee," were kind enough to share a few spoilers with the Associated Press about what fans can expect from Season 2.

Schilling says new episodes will delve even further into the complex social dynamics of living in prison.

"One of the most interesting things for me is how women deal [in prison] with relationships. How there's more of a dealing in emotions, words, and talking and alliances, and creating family groups within prison and that social structure is really important, and that became very clear to me as we went on," Schilling told the AP.

Something Netflix, the show's producer and writers have always emphasized is that even though these women are behind bars, they're still humans that live in a world filled with political decisions, much like life outside of jail.

"The politics of prison. There's a lot going on there that people aren't aware of: the corruption that goes on there, and also remembering that these are real women, you know, to humanize this and to remember that these are people's mothers and sisters and friends," Brooks added.

Orange is the New Black Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix some time in 2014. No official return date has been confirmed.
