'NCIS' Season 12 Spoilers: Delilah Fielding Returns in Upcoming ‘Status Update’ Episode

'NCIS,' the hit police procedural television drama series, will return to CBS following a week's hiatus with Season 12 Episode 18 titled 'Status Update' on Tuesday, March 24. The continuation of the show will also mark the return of Margo Harshman's Delilah Fielding.

According to Christian Today, the official synopsis of 'Status Update' reads, "After the body of a thief is found in a Marine's house, NCIS discovers the calling card of a terror group Delilah and the Department of Defense have been tracking."

Fans last saw Delilah in 'NCIS' Season 11 Episode titled 'Page Not Found,' where they came to know that the character would be sent to Dubai, possibly to write it off from the show or may be as an explanation for her temporary absence some upcoming episodes. Nevertheless, the synopsis of the upcoming 'NCIS' episode suggests that Delilah will be playing a bigger role - in any case for this episode. In 'Status Update,' fans will also see the storyline dealing with her relationship with Agent Timothy McGee.

In 'NCIS' Season 12 Episode 17, fans saw Delilah and McGee together and Delilah was seen accepting the house key the latter gave her. This was ample indication that Delilah had no intentions of staying with him and taking their relationship ahead following her assignment in Dubai.

This not only does put Delilah and McGee together, but also puts the entire NCIS team together with the Department of Defense. As of now there is no indication of whether or not the terrorist group will have any role in the series' finale.

However, it is likely that the upcoming episode will determine whether or not Harshman's character will make further appearances in 'NCIS' or the show runners will be bringing her character to an end by terminating her relationship with McGee following the events in 'Status Update.'

While Holly Dale directed 'Status Update,' the episode is written by Christopher J. Waild. The episode will feature Ellen Hollman, Jay Ali, Lane Garrison, and Scott Speiser as guest stars together with Margo Harshman.
