'NCIS' Season 11 Ziva David Cast Replacement Emily Wickersham Makes Debut Nov 19. 2013 on CBS

"NCIS" Season 11 started out on CBS with the departure of popular star Cote de Pablo in September and now they have announced her replacement.

Emily Wickersham (The Sopranos, The Bridge) has been announced as a full-time cast regular on the CBS drama. Wickersham is being brought in specifically to 'fill the void' left by the departure of co-star Cote de Pablo.

Wickersham was originally signed on for three episodes but got switched to a full blown cast member before her Nov. 19 debut on "NCIS".

"Emily Wickersham's Ellie Bishop is proving to perfectly compliment the NCIS team," said executive producer Gary Glasberg in a statement. "Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious. Great things are planned for Bishop and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her on-board."

Glasberg does not think anyone can 'replace' Ziva David but added, "I can introduce a character who is unique and quirky and fun, and hopefully people will embrace her and feel like she is a new element to this group and a new part of moving it forward."

Wickersham will play an NSA Analyst Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop, a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism who specializes in international threat assessment and global preparation.
