NBC Summer 2015 Programming Schedule: Network Announces Four Shows for its Summer TV Lineup

NBC is getting its summer TV season started by announcing four shows. Competition shows "American Ninja Warrior" and "America's Got Talent" are set to premiere this summer, the long awaited third season of NBC's "Hannibal" is coming back, and a new show "Aquarius," is also in the lineup.

Starting the summer tentpole programming is" American Ninja Warrior," which will air Memorial Day evening on May 25 at 8-10 pm. Every season hundreds of competitors try to complete challenging obstacle courses. If they win the qualifying round in their designated region, the competitors will have the chance to win the title in the final round at Las Vegas. The hosts of the show are Matt Iseman and former NFL player Akbar Gbaja Biamila.

"America's Got Talent" will celebrate its 10th season on Tuesday, May 26 at 8-10 pm. Nick Cannon will continue as host, along with judges Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel. Since its debut episode, the show has scoured the country looking for talented performers in all genres of entertainment. The winner gets to headline a show in Las Vegas and receives a cash prize of $1 million. According to Coming Soon, Mat Franco from Rhode Island won last season. He was the first magician to win the title.

After a shocking and intense finale, "Hannibal" will return on Thursday, June 4 at 10-11 pm. The third season will pick up where it left on the show's second season finale as Hannibal is fleeing police in Europe. His psychiatrist, Bedelia Du Maurier accompanies him. The cat-and-mouse game will continue as the fates of the characters are hang in the balance.

The new series "Aquarius" will premiere on Thursday, June 4 at 9-10 pm. The series will follow LAPD Sgt. Sam Hodiak, played by David Duchovny, as he and his partners Brian Shafe and Charmain Tully looking for a missing young woman during the late 1967. The show will focus on the time period's history of love, drugs and sex. The case will eventually lead them to the show's main villain, Charles Manson.
