'Nashville' Season 5 Spoilers: Latest Trailer For Season 5 Leaked

Fans can now get a glimpse of some of the new storylines in "Nashville" season 5, which is set to premiere in January.

A new 15-second trailer for the new episode was posted on Instagram on September 16, offering an early look of the new season. The upcoming season will be "Nashville's" first on its new home, CMT.

The new trailer reveals that there is more drama coming to some of the major characters of the series, especially those involved in the two main relationships on the show. The trailer shows an intense exchange between Deacon Claybourne and Rayna Jaymes, as well as between Juliette Barnes and Avery Barkley.

The final episode of season 4 saw a reunion between Juliette and Avery. However, the romance was cut short when Juliette's plane went missing while on its way back to Nashville. According to the producers of the show, the cliffhanger was intended to make the series more attractive to networks. It can be recalled that the ABC network previously cancelled the show, so its producers had to make the upcoming series a more attractive package to find a new home.

Barnes portrayer Hayden Panettiere has been confirmed for season 5, along with Connie Britton, Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Lennon Stella, Clare Bowen, Chris Carmack and Maisy Stella. On the other hand, Chase and Aubrey Peeples will not be among the series regulars.

The producers of the series are currently putting out a casting call for a new role, Clay. The character is described as an African-American male in his 20's who dreams of making it big in the Music City.

"Nashville" season 5 premieres on January 5, 9:00 P.M. on CMT.
