'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road To Boruto' Trailer News & Update: Naruto And Boruto Fight? [WATCH]

Bandai Namco's "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is finally set to receive the "Road to Boruto" expansion, which features Naruto's son. According to reports, it is also rumored to be the conclusion of the series.

Accompanying the announcement, the studio has released a trailer for "Road to Boruto." It opens with eight candles surrounding an item, presumably a scroll. The following sequence feature different characters from different scenes in the "Naruto" anime. After that, a new scene opens with a match between Boruto and Naruto, as manifested by a line that reads "Surpass the Father."

The clip also sees combat between the series' strongest characters, as well as Boruto exploring the locale. Overall, the game lets players experience a new era, along with the "climactic conclusion of the final storm." 

In line with the epic conclusion, it is believed that "Road to Boruto" serves as the final installment for the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate: Ninja Storm 4" series, Polygon reports. According to the website, Bandai Namco said that the series would be coming to an end soon, while still maintaining its popularity and strong sales.

In a statement, as cited by Polygon, the studio said that the series had sold 15 million copies in total and that "Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" had sold two million in a global scale. The studio also mentioned that they had been developing the series for 15 years since the first entry and, for the game set to be the last one in the series, they had poured all their efforts into it.

"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road to Boruto" is set to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in February, 2017.
