'Narcos' Season 2 Release Date, Spoilers: Series To Recreate Escobar's Actual Death Scenario

"Narcos" season 2 will follow the tragic fate of Pablo Escobar.

According to Wagner Moura, the actor behind Pablo Escobar, his character will meet his demise next season.

"We all know what's going to happen to Pablo Escobar. I felt like when I finished the first season, I had to finish the series. It's like accomplishing a mission," he said.

The actor also revealed during his appearance on "Chelsea" that Escobar will try to escape the FBI in the moments leading up to his death.

The previous episode of "Narcos showed Escobar behind bars. However, it looks like the drug lord would rather get killed than be incarcerated, so he will attempt to abscond. In his attempt to free himself and run away, he will meet his demise.

"It's all about Pablo on the run. It's from the day Pablo escapes to his death," revealed Moura.

The social media accounts of Netflix also reveal that the upcoming season will feature the death of Escobar. Narcos' official Facebook page features a pitch-black background with the words "Pablo dies" as its cover photo.

Since the death of Escobar is already known to everyone, viewers of the series expect a realistic depiction of his death scene.

According to "Narcos" executive producer Eric Newman, DEA agent Steve Murphy was able to take incredible photos of Escobar at the time of his death, and this photo is what the show will use in recreating his actual death scenario.

"We've recreated the actual death scenario based on those pictures so it's as close as we can be," said Newman.

"Narcos" season 2 premieres on Netflix on September 2.
