Mumford & Sons Bassist, Ted Dwane, Hospitalized With Blood Clot on Brain

Doctors on Monday discovered a musician Ted Dwane, bass player for Mumford & Sons, had a blood clot on the surface of his brain and recieved emergency treatment to stabilize his condition.

The group released an updated statement on their website explaining that Ted had not been feeling good for days so checked into the hospital yesterday for treatment. After the blood clot was discovered from scans, they sent him into surgery. 

"Ted is receiving excellent care, and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery," the band says in the online statement.

Mumford & Sons be forced to reschedule three performances because of this emergency that were planned for this week: the show tonight in Dallas; Wednesday's gig in Woodlands, Texas; and Thursday show in New Orleans.

Tickets will be honored if you have already bought them for a rescheduled performances, dates for which will be announced as soon as they are able to nail them down.

"We have no plans to cancel or postpone any other appearances along this current tour," the band said. "We're all wishing Ted a speedy recovery."

The Grammy Award Winning group is scheduled to play on Saturday at Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee.
