Reach Records Rapper KB took to Facebook by posting an old Rapzilla interview of popular VJ Sway talking about what he thinks about Christian Hip-Hop and its future. According to the rapper, Sway proved to be a prophet with his foretelling statements.

Rapzilla caught up with the popular MTV VJ in 2007. Sway opened up the interview talking about his friendship with Christian rapper T-Bone and stated that other than T-Bone he did not listen to anyone else in the Christian hip-hop market because as a whole the talent was not appealing to him. "I can appreciate the message but when you talk about music it's more then just the lyrical content it's the music, the production value, and how you deliver and perform it," Sway said.

"What I think is that Christian Hip-hop shouldn't even concern itself with the mainstream market," he continued, "Hip Hop in general didn't and when it became popular and self contained the mainstream market came to it. So I think Christian hip-hop has to do the same. Master its craft, master its market, gain its own fan base, its own constituency and it'll begin to overflow into the mainstream and the mainstream will come to it."

KB and his team at Reach Records have seen a great deal of success in both the Christian and mainstream market and have managed to keep the message of the gospel in the forefront of their music. Label founder Lecrae reached No.1 on the Billboard charts with his album Anomaly.

Upon watching Sway's interview, KB posted on Facebook that the 'Sway in The Morning host', "speaks almost prophetically about Christian Hip Hop and gives an "astute analysis."

During the enlightening interview Sway went on to say that if Christian rappers try and chase after mainstream it would distort the message behind the music. "That's like trying to make a pop record, 9 times out of 10 it's not going to happen. You are going to ruin the core that you set up."

He went on to tell Rapzilla that Christians have a great big secret to the rest of the world and it must be manage it properly. "So when the rest of the world comes you'll have the power and influence to make sure it's being done right," he advised.
