Clearing her husband's name of all the criminal charges against him is Joanna's first mission in the next episode of "Mr. Robot" season 3. It remains to be seen, however, if Will Tyrell will allow his estranged wife to have her way.

According to reports, Joana will not let herself stay in the sidelines while her husband is being chased by the police. It can be recalled that Tyrell was included in the list of suspects in the 5/9 attack. Tyrell has yet to come out in public, disregarding his encounter with Elliot in the season 2 finale.

Many viewers expected that Tyrell was simply a figment of Elliot's imagination. However, it was revealed that Tyrell was actually alive. He brought Elliot to the headquarters of the Dark Army to let him know that the second phase of their scheme against E Corp was making progress.

Elliot told Tyrell that he did not want to be involved in the plan, but Tyrell got a gun and shot him in the chest. It was clear that Tyrell has not yet forgiven his old employer for not giving him the promotion. It has yet to be revealed if Joanna knows that her husband is actually alive. She never told Elliot about anything back when they were still together. What Joanna wants to do this season is to be reunited with her ex-husband. She has remained loyal to him despite the fact that he left her without a word.

According to Joanna portrayer Stephanie Corneliussen, viewers will see more of her character's deceitfulness in season 3.

"Finding out she has this master plan really going back to what we saw in S1--she's a master; an incredible manipulator. There was a lot of Joanna's story involving this new boyfriend. I couldn't see her fall in love with some bartender. I was physically upset, tears in my eyes. I told Sam, 'You have to explain this to me because this is not Joanna.' He said don't worry there's a plan. So I was happy that everyone eventually knew he was just a pawn in her game," said Corneliussen.

"Mr. Robot" season 3 is expected to air sometime in 2017 on USA Network.
