Minecraft Xbox One, PS4 Release Date, Rumors: Being 'Worked On' Says 4J Studios

If a representative of Scottish video game development firm 4J Studios is to be believed, Minecraft will soon hit the shelves. According to the representative, makers are currently working on the Minecraft editions for Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita among others.

Although connoisseurs of Minecraft games might not be very happy to hear this, it does denote that the game's popularity is becoming universal having already been released on several platforms, including PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. However, they will certainly be pleased to learn that 4J Studios is really working overtime to deliver their preferred game to multiple consoles simultaneously.

Recently, 4J Studios took to the Twitter to announce, "The main thing we're working on is Minecraft Editions for Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita, and Patch 1.06 for PS3 :)"

Sweden-based Mojang AB, the publisher of Minecraft games, subsequently published a photograph online demonstrating that their game can now be played on Xbox One, PS 4 and PS Vita. However, rumor mills are abuzz that the version that can be played on these consoles will have superior texture and bigger world sizes compared to the earlier versions of Minecraft.

In fact, it is being said that the Xbox One Minecraft version will be an exceptional one. Like the other versions from the studio, the game involves a person using huge cubes to construct buildings as well as other structures in a world that appears very akin to the one we inhabit. In fact, an individual is able to craft, explore as well as fight in the game.

The studio is expected to finalize the release date for Minecraft on the Xbox One, and not Microsoft.
