Minecraft 1.8 Update: Introduction of Underwater Dungeons and Mobs

When it comes to sandbox games, Mojang's Minecraft is one of the biggest names in the industry. Minecraft is a game where you control a single character, stranded and alone in a vast randomly generated world. Players can expect a lot of new content and changes in the upcoming 1.8 patch.

Minecraft is mostly known for the user-created-content that it has generated over the years. Because of its sandbox nature, players are known for making blocked 8-bit to 16-bit recreations of real-life or other fantasy landmarks and worlds. For examples of what players can create in this game, galleries of such creations can be seen here.

Right now, Mojang is focusing on the 1.8 update which has players excited over what kind of new content it can bring to the table. The log list of the update is major and makes mention of all sorts of bug fixes and new blocks, as well as new enemies.

What players are looking forward to is underwater accessibility. Previously, the underwater world of Minecraft was dull and offered nothing to look into. The new additions will bring excitement and include randomly generated underwater dungeons, underwater enemies, and underwater blocks.

The new underwater mob (or monster) looks especially dangerous and terrifying. The new mob has no name yet, but players might want to steer out of its way when the update comes out.

The 1.8 update will also be more survival-oriented than the previous patches. Difficulties for example will not be changeable in a world. This will stop players from being tempted to change the difficulty once it becomes difficult to survive. This will also prevent any accidental changing of difficulties in multiplayer servers.
