Microsoft Windows 9 Beta Release Date: Windows 10 May Be Released With Customized Desktop April 2015

At a launch event on Sept. 30, Microsoft confirmed that it will release Windows 10 by mid-2015 and also unveiled a Technical Preview of upcoming version of the Microsoft Windows operating system. Recently, the Redmond-based tech titan acted on their promise and actually released a trial version for interested consumers.

The Technical Preview called Build 9860 comes is accompanied by a notification center from Windows Phone, keyboard shortcut for app movement throughout screens, a battery saving, a data use monitor alongside settings for Windows Insiders while obtaining new builds.

Tentatively, the Technical Preview will be ending on April 15, 2015. However, Microsoft has yet to make any official announcement regarding the precise launch date for Windows 10. However, the company has confirmed that Windows 10 will work on all Microsoft devices, including smartphones which are equipped with "universal' apps.

Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice-President for the Microsoft OS group, recently said that the "different environment" for Windows 8 Modern apps turned out to be a problem for people using desktop and PC. Once Windows 10 is released, people using a mouse and keyboard will benefit immensely owing to its "familiar UI."

Windows 10 will address these issues by using a new system dubbed Continuum. PCPro quotes Belfiore saying that Windows 10 will adjust itself automatically depending on the nature of device, and offer a touch environment akin to that of the Start screen in Windows 8 for tablets as well as the standard desktop, provided there is a keyboard and mouse. However, phones using Windows 10 will not get the conventional desktop.

Windows 10 will allow the users to have several desktops such as "personal," "work," as well as "project" desktops. On the whole, users will be enjoying the advantage of a known OS like Windows 7. Moreover, Windows 10 will enable users to experience superior level functions compared to Windows 8.
