Rumors about the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date continue to bubble in the surface, but unfortunately there's no confirmation from the tech giant's camp.

Reports about the Microsoft Surface Book 2, its specs and the release date for instance, are even scarcer.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5

For now, the almost certain feature to be included in the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is the inclusion of the new Surface Pen.

"Schematic drawings from the filing show a stylus with an on/off button, indicator light and a charging terminal near its base," Laptop Mag said.

It will run on Intel Skylake processor and Redstone 2 Windows 10 update. One of the improved specs for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is the improved battery life, according to initial rumors. And the improvement is significant from the 5-hour worth of video playback from its predecessor. Now, users can actually play nine hours of video.

Microsoft Surface Book 2

According to Mobi Picker, the Surface Book 2 might be launched either in June or October this year, but there's really no solid basis to make those claim.

As to the specs of the Microsoft Surface Book 2, Yibada claimed that the device will feature a 4K pixel resolution.

Although it's not confirmed, the Book 2 will also be powered by Intel's Skylake processor as well as the latest Redstone update for the Windows 10 OS.
