Michael Schumacher Condition Update: Legendary Formula One Driver Shows Improvement

Here is some good news for all those who have been praying for the speedy recovery of seven-time Formula One Champion Michael Schumacher, who met with a near fatal mishap while skiing in the French Alps on Dec. 29, 2013. While Schumacher is still unable to move, he is now able to express his emotions through his eyes.

Christian Today reports that currently this is the only way by which he is able to communicate with others - by opening and closing his eyes. According to a recent report, Schumacher became emotional when his wife and children spoke to him. However, there have been several instances when the ace racing car driver even failed to recognize them.

Apart from responding with his eyes, still Schumacher is not able to move. Not only this, he is also yet to talk since he came out of the medically-induced coma some months back. Nevertheless, doctors attending on Schumacher are of the view that the eye response is a good sign, but the former Formula One champ still has to go a long way before he can recover fully.

The doctors have said that after he recovers further, Schumacher will be required to be tied to a wheelchair at some point in the future. Besides, the ace driver will require undergoing further and proper therapy so that he can move and/or walk by himself again. The therapy is necessary to ensure that Schumacher's muscles do not degenerate. However, his cognitive function continues to be a major concern.

As of now, family members and fans of the legendary race car driver are only hoping that he should get back on his feet as early as possible and pull through the unfortunate tragedy that has hit his life till date.
