'Mass Effect: Andromeda' Release Date News: Hype Continues; Bioware Expectedly Quiet About Details

After a trailer of "Mass Effect: Andromeda was revealed during the E3 event last year, news and rumors surrounding the game are scarce, and Bioware is fueling the hype by simply keeping mum about the details.

But God is a Geek in a news article noted that Bioware's silence doesn't matter, considering what it has achieved in the "Mass Effect" trilogy.

"We know the Mako buggy is back, as is the N7 logo, meaning there will be nods to the previous trilogy, but it will be refreshing to get a completely new story," wrote Chris White. "I'm happy to never revisit Shepard and the crew of the Normandy because those deep cuts have left their scars on my mind."

However, in games such as this, rumors are inevitable. A reported storyline and details leak of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" was shared on Reddit, according to Game Rant.

Among the loudest rumors is that the main character in "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is known as Pathfinder, which fits the theme of the game and that is to find a new home in the universe. Also, the ship Normandy will not be returning.

"The player can have 2 squad mates as before, and a human blonde and a krogan were mentioned specifically by the leaker," the website said.

"One of the antagonists is a human soldier with armor similar to the main character but without the N7 insignia," it added.

For those who played the trilogy, they would be glad (or anxious) to know that they would be facing a cross between the Collectors and Vorcha, that is if the rumors surrounding the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" are true.

Nevertheless, reports are expected to come out as the release date for next year draws near.
