'Mass Effect 4' News, Rumors: BioWare Silent on New Title, but Encourages Fan Suggestions

The follow up to the "Mass Effect" trilogy has been stirring quite the buzz among gamers, with a lot of the anticipation brought about by BioWare's commitment to secrecy.

The creators of the successful RPG series have been tight lipped about their plans for the next game, as the title does not have an announced release date yet, or even a working title.

They have, however, encouraged fans to voice out what they want from what would technically be "Mass Effect 4." The game's development team has been open to interacting with fans on Twitter, taking in ideas from fans, and divulging whatever small updates they can.

As pointed out by VCPost, as long as the team can sense sincerity in fans helping to develop the game, the team leads appreciate any and all suggestions and opinions about the upcoming game.

Yanick Roy, studio director for BioWare Montreal, Joel MacMillan, art director for the game, BioWare producer Fabrice Condominas, creative director Mac Walters, and senior development director Chris Wynn, are among the development team members fans have been interacting with on Twitter.

Walters, especially, seemed eager to hear from fans, recently eliciting a slew of replies by tweeting, "Spring-Forward Poll: What new feature, system or gameplay would you add to the next #MassEffect?"

News for the highly anticipated BioWare game seems to mostly come from Twitter, with industry insider @Shinobi602 suggesting recently that a trailer may soon be in the offing, specifically at the coming E3.

When Paradiger.com asked @Shinobi602 whether the trailer would tap into the game's storyline, he replied, "Given Shaprd's arc doesn't play a role, I'm sure it'll lay down the new overall plot & direction of the game? :)"

Other previously divulged information about the game has "Mass Effect 4" being exclusive for Xbox One and PS4.

"I'd go so far as to say that dropping the older consoles has had more impact on the overall gameplay goals of the next Mass Effect game than what Dragon Age: Inquisition successfully achieved," said GM Aaryn Flynn on NeoGAF.
