Nick Cannon recently confirmed some of the marital problems he's having with Mariah Carey. While the rumors about the two have been circling for weeks now, this is the first time official word on the matter has been released.

He told The Insider that there "is trouble in paradise," he said that he and Carey, 44, "have been living in separate houses for a few months."

According to a tipster from Us Weekly, the Hollywood couple started having conflicts last June, "It has been shaky for a while, but it all came to a head recently," the source said.

However, an insider from E! News said that the couple had hit the bottom before the rumors even got to the press.

"This is not all of a sudden. There have been issues between them for a while. They are not getting along," the source said, "She wants to end it and it has been in the works for months, which is why her house in the Bahamas and the house in Bel Air are on the market."

Cannon did not elaborate on the reasons for the marital dispute, but he emphasized that he focused on moving forward, "My main focus is my kids," he told The Insider. The couple have 3-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

The couple used to renew their vows every year, but they did not do that this April. According to some reports, an alleged divorce is already "a done deal."
