Popular singer Mandisa to join Katie Couric on her show "Katie" today, Oct. 21st. The "Katie" show airs on ABC at 2pm central.  

Mandisa shared on her Facebook page, "Don't miss it! I got Katie to #Mandisercise with me!"

Mandisa shares about her music and single "Overcomer" and opens up with a very personal interview about struggles from her past with food and being abused as a child.

Mandisa, 37, was a contestant on the fifth season of "American Idol" where she finished in ninth place. This helped launch her career and where she has released four studio albums and been nominated for multiple Grammy and GMA Dove Awards. 

Her latest album Overcomer released on August 27, 2013 and went to No. 1 on the Billboard Christian charts. The album features the inspirational hit single "Overcomer".
