The Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses, expressed its gratitude to Christian rock band Skillet for participating in the worthy endeavor, helping a young drummer be granted his wish.

In a Facebook post, the band wrote, "Special thanks to Make-A-Wish America for bringing out Nathanael and his family to ROCK WITH US! ?#"ŽWorldWishDay ?#"ŽMakeAWish ?#"ŽMakeAWishND."

Katherine Aultman, the sister of Nathanael, also commented on the post as she's equally grateful for both the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Skillet.

"Thank you to those who worked so hard to organize and plan his dream to meet and play with Skillet! Thank you too for allowing me to go along and be a part of his wish. You have blessed our family beyond anything we could've planned ourselves!" she wrote.

The official Facebook post by Skillet also showed a photo of the band with the Nathanael and his family.

Nathanael also commented on the post as he wrote, "Thank you Skillet for allowing me to be a part of this. It's truly an experience my family and especially I won't forget. I loved playing Monster with you guys! Thank you for all you do!!"

According to the press release, the most cherished memory of Nathanael was playing the drums and jamming with the band.

"Joining Skillet during sound check, Nathanael had a blast drumming to their double platinum selling single and most streamed song in CCM history, 'Monster,' while the rest of band jammed with him," the release said. "He was also treated to a special guitar session with Skillet's Seth Morrison."
