MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Sixth Generation Skylake Processor; Set For March Release?

Apple may reveal its upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 in the first quarter of the year.

According to Yibada, the Cupertino-based company may unveil its forthcoming laptop in March this year, in line with the rumored introduction of new devices in March. While the said time of release is not yet final, other rumors say that the MacBook Pro 2016 is set to be released after the Worldwide Developers Conference in June.

The MacBook Pro 2016 features a sixth generation Skylake core processor, which gives way to the battery life of the device. Also, the laptop might get a touchscreen feature, similar to other laptop devices like Asus. According to rumors, the screen could be 15-inch or 13-inch.

In his interview with Forbes, International Data Collection program director Ryan Reith said that the way they tended to see the iPad Pro was a kind of a stopgap solution until they got a Mac line to the point of a touch screen and possibly detachable keyboard.

Another enhancement in Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 is its lighter and thinner body, according to Master Herald. As per the publication, the lightweight portable design and its comfortable form factor serve as the main selling points of the MacBook lineup.

The MacBook Pro 2016 becoming thinner and light suggests that some of its USB ports are set to disappear. Nevertheless, a lighter and thinner MacBook Pro may compete with the MacBook Air in the long run.

Along with the revelation of the MacBook Pro 2016, it is also assumed that it will be joined by the upcoming Apple iPhone 5se and the Apple Watch 2.
