MacBook Air 2016 Rumors: Possible Release Date, Specs

After Apple released its 12-inch MacBook Air on the previous March 9, 2015, rumors say the company is expected to set a MacBook Air 2016 release date by next year. The launch of this year's version of the high-end specs laptop was done during the "Spring Forward"-event, some eight months ago.

Online rumors about the 2016 release date of the next version of the Macbook Air have been circulating on social media and the blogosphere. Many MacBook fans are speculating that Apple will soon unveil the new, improved and thinner MacBook Air during the scheduled Worldwide Development Conference 2016.

It is also expected that the latest version of the MacBook Pro will be released in the third quarter of next year.  The expected newer versions of Apple's premium laptops are expected to be more elegant and functional than the current versions, which are already cutting-edge technology.

Some news agencies have already published confirmed reports from Apple that the company is indeed preparing to release a newer version of MacBook Air.

The Economic Daily News of Taiwan, for instance, has preempted other news outlets by releasing the most recent reports about Apple's MacBook Air. Aside from minor aesthetic improvements, the laptop is expected to also have several improvements in its computing specs.  

MacBook fans will be given two screen size options, namely, 13 inches and 15 inches.  According to some rumors, the new MacBook Air will have Intel Skylake processors.

The RAM and graphics specs are also likely to be upgraded on the MacBook 2016 version.  Fans may also expect more durable batteries and new cooling modules.
