MacBook Air 2016 Release Date, Specs: Price Rumored To Cost $899? Showcase Enhanced Display With Retina Feature

Along with its specifications, Apple's MacBook Air is rumored to be released in the second quarter of 2016.

According to Crossmap, the MacBook Air 2016 will be released in June, which is parallel to previous reports that the aforementioned device is going to be released at the WWDC event, along with the MacBook Pro. The event aims to fix the lost identity of the two gadgets, as the MacBook Pro was reportedly thinner than the MacBook Air.

The MacBook Air 2016 is set to have Intel's sixth generation Skylake processing chip, which is believed to boost the processing speed by 20 percent when paired with the OS X, as per Ecumenical News. Also, the said chip processor is assumed to boost batter efficiency by 30 percent, as well as give conviction to the mobile's computing landscape. The device showcases enhanced display and images with its Retina feature.

A USB-C port is going to be part of the MacBook Air 2016, which could ignite a trend in the future devices. Also, the OS X is set to add Siri, as per 9to5 Mac. In fact, the OS X 10.12, the upcoming update of Mac's operating system, will reportedly bring the Siri feature to the device. It will be positioned on the upper right corner of the menu bar and upon clicking, its interface will appear at the upper right portion of the screen.

The MacBook Air's battery is also capable of powering up the device for up to 12 hours. As per Apple's official website, the 11-inch model can be left open for at least nine hours on a single charge while the 13-inch model has the power to stay alive for up to 12 hours. Powered by fifth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, the device is assumed to have an optimal performance.

The device is rumored to cost $899 and above.
