The much-anticipated release of Ian Yates' new track, "High Wire," will be available digitally on May 13 as the British worship singer continues to work on his latest album, which is expected to drop in the fall of this year.

"High Wire" will resonate with people who are having trouble in their lives. The overall message of the song is about fully trusting God, even if they don't really understand his plans.

"Life can throw us challenges. For all that we believe God has called us to, it can sometimes feel like we are walking a high wire. Yet we can trust that He will catch us. He is always holding onto us," Yates said.

"High Wire," is produced by Trevor Michael with Simon Francis on bass, Paul Evans on drums, Jonny Bird on guitars. It's a cut from Ian Yates' new album, "Awaken to Love," which will be released by the 7Core Team on Sept. 16.

"Awaken to Love" is a follow-up to his last album, "DNA," which climbed to no. 5 in the Official UK Christian and Gospel chart.

When he's not making music, Yates is part of the Elim Sound core team, leading music worship in different churches in the UK. But even with all the travels, the preacher's son absolutely loves it.

"It's a real privilege to lead worship all over the place. It's been amazing to lead in so many different expressions of church too. I love the beauty and diversity of the church and it's such an honor to travel," he told Louder Than Music in a 2014 interview.
