‘Legend Of Korra’ Season 3: Release Date Will Be Confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con; News Emerges That Katara May Die?

Mir Studio, the maker of the Legend of Korra, has still not made any official announcement of the Season 3 release date, and the silence has been torture for fans of the hit show. 

However, things may be about to change, as rumors suggest that Nickelodeon will be present at the San Diego Comic-Con in July, and some are claiming that the company will use the opportunity to promote Legend of Korra and possibly announce its eagerly anticipated public release.

Legend of Korra Book 3 is titled Change, which refers to inevitable transformations in the world of Avatar. 

Michael Dante DiMartino, animation director and co-creator, explained, "It's all about Korra dealing with the change of the world in this point in time. At the end of Book 2 she says it's a new era. And it really is and we're going to show how Harmonic Convergence and her battle with Unalaq and Vaatu kind of shifted the world a bit."

Other news speculates that Katara of Avatar: The Last Airbender or another prominent and important character is going to die in Season 3. 

Meanwhile, in other news Legend of Korra Book 2: Spirits on DVD and Blu-ray is expected to be release on July 1, 2014. 

Paramount has announced that the release dates would be different for the United States and Canada, but no specific reasons were provided, according to TV Shows on DVD.

Legend of Korra: Spirits on DVD will be released in Canada on August 5.
