'LEFT BEHIND' Movie Releases New Clip; Scene Leaves Fans Horrified at Thought of Missing the Rapture, 'I'm Scared... I Need Jesus' (VIDEO)

The Left Behind movie has slowly been releasing clips leading up to it's October 3rd theater release date, and a recent clip of a teacher in her classroom has some fans on social media dreading the thought of the time coming in which the followers of Christ are caught up in the clouds to meet God and every one else gets left behind to endure Tribulation.

It has been eight years since the last installment of the original "LEFT BEHIND" series. Now back with a bigger budget and an A-list celebrity cast, the upcoming movie is already generating a buzz and giving people a fear of missing the rapture.

"LEFT BEHIND " follows the epic story of a group of survivors after millions of people suddenly vanish and the world is spun into chaos and destruction in its wake. The story is based on the possible events of the Rapture described by John in the book of Revelation.

In a recent clip released on the film's Facebook page, fans are given a glimpse of a teacher in her classroom in pure horror as every one of her elementary school students has disappeared. See that clip here.

Remarks of suspense immediately began to flood the comment section as many described the clip as "chilling."

"Shouldn't be scared but I am... scared for my friends and family," one comment said. Another stated, "I'm scared... I need Jesus"

Some one else confessed, "You know I used to be terrified to watch things like this thinking I would be one to stay scared for my life... I can watch something like this with a smile on my face knowing this is a happy day that I will be with my lord and savior in the pearly gates with people I love."

One person convinced that this movie scene will come to pass wrote, "This is not crazy or commercial propaganda.. It's real it's gonna happen!"

The clips had a number of people reassuring those scarred with comments such as, "People are scared. But don't be if you know Jesus Christ you don't need to worry."

The original "LEFT BEHIND" movie was released in 2000, and was an independent Christian film based on the novel series of the same name, written by Tim LaHaye, and Jerry B. Jenkins. It opened 17th in the nation and was the No. 1 selling video in America in its first week of release, beating out Toy Story 2 and The Green Mile.

The updated apocalyptic thriller stars mainstream actors Nicholas Cage, playing the lead role of Rayford Steele, Chad Michael Murray playing the role of Buck Williams (Kirk Cameron in the original remake), and actress/singer Jordan Sparks among many others.
