Entertainment One (eOne) released their apocalyptic action thriller, LEFT BEHIND nationwide, bookending the holidays with VOD on December 23, 2014 followed by DVD and Blu-ray on January 6, 2015.

The movie stars Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage (NATIONAL TREASURE, CITY OF ANGELS, THE CROODS) as veteran pilot Ray Steel. After millions of people around the globe disappear in the Biblically prophesied rapture, Ray must fight to protect the passengers that remain on his flight. Trapped at 30,000 feet, he must find a way to safely land the damaged plane and comprehend the chaos that awaits as the most devastating event in history unfolds.

Cloud Ten Pictures, who created the original trilogy of films, also did the remake and were hoping to bring the film to a more mainstream audience. 

The apocalyptic thriller was directed by Vic Armstrong and written by Paul LaLonde and John Patus. The star-studded cast includes Cage, Chad Michael Murray playing the role of Buck Williams (Kirk Cameron in the original remake), television actress Lea Thompson, and actress Cassi Thomson, among many others.

Rapture-themed movie is based on New York Times best-selling "Left Behind" book series which is published in 32 different languages, with more than 65 million copies sold making it one of the best-selling fiction series of all time.
