Olivia Benson's occupation remains pending while Chris Meloni is surprised in return rumors in "Law & Order" season 17 episode 18.

"Law & Order" season 17 episode 18 is entitled "Unholiest Alliance." According to Spoilers Guide, the episode is set to see the SVU struggling to resolve an operation, which involves sex trafficking. The said operation is well-established in government offices, the Catholic Church, and the police department.

As per Inquisitr, it is highly improbable that Benson would be removed from the show anytime soon, provided that she was the one of the most vital characters and the lead member of the present team. But then, it has also been stressed that fans may see Benson leave the series, as some essential characters in the show like Elliot, played by Christopher Meloni, have left.

With the minute possibility of seeing Benson leave "Law & Order," it has also been speculated that another actor will replace her role as a new lead hero in the series.

In other news, Meloni could return to the show. In his interview with HuffPost Live, the actor revealed that he had been surprised to hear talks about him coming back to "Law & order." He said that he had heard the rumor along with everybody else and he had no idea where that had come from or what that was about.
