Lecrae Gets 'Turnt' on the Holy Ghost in New Music Video (VIDEO)

Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae released his new music video for the song "I'm Turnt," off of his lastest mixtape, Church Clothes 2 this week.

The video, directed by Steven C. Pitts, features clips of Lecrae attending a house party that is filled with people drinking, smoking, twerking, and partying the night away. Despite being offered a number of recreational party drugs, the Grammy award winner turned it all down.

"We are made to pursue pleasure, but there is no pleasure under the sun that brings ultimate satisfaction," read the quote that opens up the video. Throughout the video you see people pursuing societies idea of pleasure. As the video progresses the music is brought to a halt and we are shown the morning after. Everyone but the rapper is passed out and incapacitated.

Lecrae shared his testimony in "My Hope With Billy Graham," that prior to Christ he spent his whole life chasing pleasures.

"When you mix drugs, and alcohol, and youth it's cause for and explosion," stated Lecrae.

After attending a Christian conference At the age of 19, Lecrae was intrigued with the sacrifice that Jesus had made to pay the price for his life. Days later he cried out to God for a change; then had a near death experience while driving. Lecrae lost control of his vehicle, and walked away with only a scratch. He then decided to give up the pursuit of pleasure for the pursuit of Christ.

The conclusion of the video shows Lecrae standing in the midst of the crowd full of life and joy. No one else can function properly but because he decided to turn down the temporary pleasures of drugs and alcohol he has an everlasting high in God.
